Check before going
Oud & perfume
Qatari perfumers in the souqs and malls blend oud and attars to order; test on skin and let it settle before buying.
Ask who made a piece and where. Check materials and shipping. Bargain politely only where invited; respect fixed prices in boutiques and artisan shops. In the souqs, gentle bargaining is normal; mall and museum shops keep fixed prices.
